EQ Class Visits: The Sharks!

Posted on August 15 2013 by Lisa Pedersen in EQ, School

This month, on top of my regular visits to classes to teach EQ lessons, I am also visiting to watch the teachers do their lessons. I watched a Shark lesson last week and was so impressed. They have grown tremendously since January. The children all are able to articulate how they are feeling and work out ways to manage their emotions in positive ways. What I love most about the Shark children is how in tune they are with each other emotionally. They are very aware of each others positive attributes but also what makes each person sad, happy and scared and they know how to respond to each person to make them feel reassured again. Mrs Hilton has created such a warm and safe environment for them to expresses their feelings and build strong relationships.
